Spanning close to five decades, The Connecticut Hospice, Inc., America’s First Hospice, is the first palliative teaching hospital to have earned the Joint Commission’s “Advanced Palliative Certification.” In November, 2021 Connecticut Hospice was accredited in Advanced Palliative Certification by the Joint Commission. The Connecticut Hospice remains the only such institution with this honor.
We were honored to receive the prestigious Edward R. Loveland Memorial Award from The American College of Physicians in recognition of our “Distinguished Contributions in the Health Field” April (2019).
We are proud to be certified by the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) as a member of their We Honor Veterans, a unique program specifically for veterans receiving hospice care.
Connecticut Hospice is a proud member of The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI) that is a collaborative of 75+ not-for-profit, community-integrated, hospice and palliative care providers dedicated to ensuring patients and their families have access to care that reflects their individual goals, values and preferences.
