We offer flexible hospice and palliative care options which can be either in-patient or at home care, and can move from location to location depending on the condition, needs, and wishes of the patient and their families.

Our unique 52-bed licensed palliative and hospice care hospital allows us to provide nuanced control of pain and quality of life rarely achieved in other health care settings.

Provides compassionate, comfort-oriented care for with an emphasis on pain management, symptom control, and spiritual and emotional support.
Hospice care is appropriate for patients with a terminal illness with an expected prognosis of 6 months or less.
Seeks to improve the quality of life for seriously ill patients and their families through counseling, medical management, and the relief of physical and emotional symptoms.
Palliative care is appropriate for patients with an expected prognosis of greater than 6 months.
We provide nursing and practical hands-on support, as well as emotional and spiritual counseling to terminally-ill patients and their families.
Hospice care is appropriate for patients with a terminal illness with an expected prognosis of 6 months or less.
Our hospice home care program is designed to meet individual needs and assist patients and their families at different stages in the course of their illness, and provide continuity of care, should illness progress and in-patient hospice care become necessary.

We offer short-term 24/7 respite care for up to five (5) days in our beautiful waterfront inpatient facility. Respite care helps ease the burden for families and caregivers, many of whom experience periods of emotional, mental, and physical exhaustion while caring for loved ones.
Respite care provides temporary relief to caregivers, offering them the opportunity to rest and relax. Respite care has been shown to be beneficial for patients, offering a change in routine, the company of others, and, at Connecticut Hospice, the ambiance of our beautiful waterfront facility.
